A living passion!
Safrà del Montsec is a company that was founded with the aim of contributing to the recovery of saffron cultivation in Catalonia, a region of Spain, that thanks to its location and climate, ideal for its cultivation, it became the largest saffron production and export area in the Middle Ages.
We are a young farming couple who are always committed to nature, living in it, from it and mainly caring for it, returning to our roots. We are part of the community and institutions committed to the environment and the optimal use of natural resources, in order to strengthen an economically sustainable agro-system.

"Always fight for your dreams" is the eternal inheritance of my parents, who have always accompanied me in the different decisions of my life. And this is premise that motivated me when, together with Jaume, we decided to start this project with just a few resources but with all the support of our family and the love for this land that I call home. Studying the history, the properties and the cultivation of saffron has resulted in this project going from a life option to a living passion.
I am in charge of carrying out and supervising the separating of the stamen and drying processes during the harvest, as well as carrying out the subsequent revision of the saffron before being packaged. I spend all the time needed so that the final product is in accordance with our philosophy and so that the final client can perceive from the first moment that they are obtaining an authentic product, developed with love and dedication.

"If from within you is born the will to continue improving, all the effort will never be enough"... After living our entire life in Barcelona, we decided, together with Magda, to undertake this adventure with great enthusiasm. For me, it has not only been a great change at all levels, it was the first time I was happy doing the work I did and continue doing. That my main work is to take care of the plants and the land and my work position is surrounded by nature, makes the dedication and the delicacy with which I develop the tasks grow from day to day.
During the harvest, I am in charge of carrying out and organizing the flower harvesting process, as well as supervising that this task is carried out according to the strict parameters that we demand and demand of ourselves. The delivery, honesty and demand with which I work day by day, are qualities that I try to transmit through our saffron.
